Escape the ordinary this summer at Cherokee Castle with acclaimed guitarist and story teller Hiroya Tsukamoto.
International acclaimed guitarist, singer and storyteller Hiroya Tsukamoto transports his audience to another place and time through songs and stories inspired by culture, travel, and the beautiful people he has been fortunate to meet. His music is meditative and mesmerizing fusing folk, jazz, and world music with his unique brand of award winning finger style guitar (performing without a pick).
Tsukamoto headlines concerts throughout the U.S. as well as internationally including Blue Note in NYC and Japanese National Television. In 2000 Hiroya moved to the United States after receiving a scholarship to Berklee College of Music. Most recently, Hiroya won 2nd place in International Finger Style Guitar Championship in 2018
Your reservations include a castle tour, light appetizers and a sunset performance with Hiroya. A cash bar will be serving wine and beer. Please do not delay and this show is expected to sell out. Acoustic Guitar Workshop with Hiroya Tsukamoto
March 1st at 12:00 –1:30 PM
Cost: $30 advance / $40 at door

Hiroya will demonstrate finger-style techniques including chords and basic theory. He will demonstrate how to start composing an original guitar piece. Participants will learn the elements of song structure and how to distill a composition down to its
essence. Hiroya will break down elements of music such as tone, rhythm, and explain how to create an effective practice routine to help improve techniques for musicians who may not take
regular lessons.***Please bring your own instrument.
